Picasso and African sculpture. The origins of the Demoiselles d'Avignon in Tenerife Area of the Arts (TEA) in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. This exhibition presents the Dossier n º 7 of drawings by Pablo Picasso preparatory Demoiselles d'Avignon, with twenty pieces of African art old sold generated by the collection Tribal Ready, coming by formal similarity and ethnicity to which had the Picasso himself. As underlined by testimonials from artists and poets near Malaga painter, Picasso, along with others like Braque and Matisse, "he began collecting African art early, and see this in several photographs of his studio in Bateau-Lavoir, full of masks and figures , both African and Oceania.
